Kinematic Control System for Glider Kinematic Control System for Glider

The project goal is to show cockpit controls operation by means of T-FLEX CAD mates and transformation options. 3D model of glider with cockpit controls was designed within this project. Using this model, wing mechanization has been shown.
Now this project is used within educational process for the course “Construction and design of aircraft”. Students study glider cockpit , control elements, transversal and longitudinal stability of glider using virtual 3D model.

3D models of “Robot”, “Plane”, “Tank” and “Minigun-Vulkan ” are presented at competition. The project goal is to show T-Flex CAD as system for design purposes. These are 3D models of high-level , designed by means of different 3D operations with fine-detailed structure.

This project includes several modifications of oil pumps designed with a fine-detailed structure. Parametric capabilities of T-FLEX CAD allowed to reduce time for model regeneration and make an investigation of mass-geometrical properties changes of designed models.

NC-controlled turning/milling machine with linear tooling is presented at competition. The main feature of this machine is a substandard design that provides high ruggedness in comparison with the other models.

3D model of reactor-mixer assembly is presented at competition. Model design is based on 2D drawings data. Each part has its own physical-mechanical properties that allowed getting mass-inertial properties of the whole reactor-mixer assembly.

The stand included in the structure of the block case, which is the component of the block of cylinders and a universal element of the diesel engines 26/26, is presented at the competition. The stand has quite complicated geometry.

3D models of parts and assemblage of sealing valve faucet, intended for shutting pipes of refrigerating plants, were presented at the competition. In addition to models, technical documentation of the design consisting of assembly drawing, bill of materials, draft drawings of parts was presented.

The model of body of opening device holder, intended for stationing PU on the transport, was presented at the competition. Parametric models of all design elements were developed, and the body assemblage was carried out. The design of the existing product was realized.

In the framework of the project, parametric models of the chip-free thread cutter, thread roller and program of calculation of geometrical parameters were developed. In addition, the module of designing the tool for high precision manufacturing of threads by means of plastic deformation was realized.

The model of a real product was created. Parametric modeling of all elements of the design was executed in the T-FLEX CAD. When designing the mill, the real process of developing tools of such class "from removable many-sided plates" was modeled.

The purpose of the stop valve is to maintain pressure in an operating chamber. 3D models of parts and component assemblage, and also a package of technical documentation: assembly drawing, bill of materials, draft drawings of parts were presented at the competition.

Tower Crane Tower Crane

The purpose of this work is a visual demonstration of structure and operation principles of a tower crane. Structurally, the crane represents a system of trusses. In the absence of drawings, quite a lot of time was spent on creating the given model.

Ring Ring

Jewelry piece "Ring" was implemented in the T-FLEX CAD system for the sake of one's own pleasure. An advertisement in one of the popular journals served as a prototype of model.

Chandelier Chandelier

The author came up with an idea of a chandelier model during a room renovation, when it was necessary to replace an existing chandelier by a new one. Unfortunately, at the time of a purchase, only a poor collection of chandeliers was offered for sale, which made the author invent an individual model of a new chandelier.

Bolide model BMW Sauber was created by using educational version T-FLEX CAD 10. The model was implemented from photographs.

The model of automobile Peugeot is created in approximate manner, from pictures of a journal. Besides a frame of an automobile, an engine and suspension are designed.

A simplified model of the automobile UAZ (standard) was created in the scale 1:5, by approximate measurements of a real car dimensions. The design method "From Bottom to Top" was used. The model UAZ (tuning) was created on the basis of UAZ (standard).

The fragment "Master of graphics annotation" allows the T-FLEX CAD user to quickly and easily annotate the graph constructed in Cartesian coordinate system. By using the "Master of graphics annotation", it is possible to significantly speed up the process of annotating the graphs. The user can just place the fragment on the drawing field, modify required parameters of the fragment and graph annotation will be completed at that.

Universal Tilter Universal Tilter

Universal tilter is intended for assembly and disassembly of engines of different sizes – large, medium, and small. The versatility of tilter reveals itself in the fact that only the right and left support brackets (individual for each type of engine) are replaced.

At the competition the diploma project on the topic "Design the site for mechanical processing of part, develop efficient technological process, evaluate economical efficiency of the design of the part "Shaft 25-15" was presented. The design of the real part "Shaft 25-15", used in the mechanism of back-blow in the plant FGUP PO "Barrikady", was implemented. Drawings of the part, blank, tools and accessories were performed in the program T-FLEX CAD 2D and T-FLEX CAD 3D.

The internal database for every part of the assembly unit was created in the computer model. While designing the 3D model, the user can select the desired elements of the structure from the internal database.

Water pump presented at competition is designed for cooling a ship engine with outboard water. Pump's frame belongs to the category of shell structures with a geometrically complicated space shape.

In the framework of the project a detailed development of the automobile generator's structure was performed, 3D parametric models of parts and the component assemblage were created. Moreover, the technical documentation package was developed: assembly drawing, bill of materials, draft drawings of parts (selectively).

Technological and structural aspects of design of mechanical shop of a machine-tool plant are presented at the competition. 3D models of the main parts of the design were worked out for a diploma project. All drawings included in the project were also created in the T-FLEX CAD system.

The model allows the user to specify main parameters of the gear-box and automatically obtain a kinematic scheme, structural net and the plot of rotation frequencies, the plot of power and torque, assembly drawing of the gear-box, 3D assembly and the bill of materials.

The graphical part of the project includes drawings of the workpiece, parts, measuring and cutting tools, lathe accessories, setup cards on machining operations, the site plan. In the technological part selection of  workpiece, datum, machining plan, equipment, fixtures, cutting tools has been made; allowances  have been calculated; all operations of technological process have been numbered; the control program has been generated.

Initially, the original model of DONG FEND truck was design in the form in which it is sold -  “chassis” variant. Later, booth, dropside body and vehicle platform were created. All of these options are presented in video that was recorded using animation functionality of T-FLEX CAD.

Parameterization has been widely used when creating the model and exploring the design. The project included teamwork, allowing students to get teamwork skills and extend libraries of parts for engine systems developed by the department.

Initially, the model was divided into a number of sub-assemblies, which on a later stage were combined into a single assembly. The lack of the original drawings sometimes led to inconsistency in the dimensions of some contact surfaces, but this problem was easily resolved due to the parametric features of T-FLEX CAD.
